ElevateHer.

Financial literacy for women rebuilding their lives. ElevateHer provides education, mentorship, and tools to women in shelters, equipping them with the knowledge to break cycles of poverty and build sustainable economic futures.

01 · Mission

Why ElevateHer exists.

Poverty is rarely a question of willpower. More often, it's a question of access, to information, to mentorship, to capital, to belief. ElevateHer exists to close that gap, one woman at a time.

02 · Impact

Numbers that change lives.

We measure impact in literacy gained, accounts opened, savings started, and futures imagined. Every metric maps to a real woman in a real shelter, learning skills the system never taught her.

03 · Programs

Three pillars of economic restoration.

Financial Foundations

An 8-week curriculum on budgeting, banking, credit repair, and saving. Delivered on-site at partner shelters with workbooks, 1:1 coaching, and a graduation ceremony that reframes finance as power, not punishment.

8 weeks On-site Cohort-based

Mentor Match

One-to-one pairings with vetted mentors, financial professionals, entrepreneurs, and program graduates, who walk alongside participants for 12 months of guidance, accountability, and real-world advice.

04 · Origin

How ElevateHer began.

The spark

A conversation in a shelter lobby.

A woman asked Moriah how to open a bank account without a permanent address. The answer wasn't simple, but the gap it revealed was. The financial system assumes stability that millions of women don't have.

The pilot

One curriculum, one shelter, twelve women.

What started as a four-session pilot grew into an eight-week program. Every woman who completed it reported a measurable shift in confidence and concrete next steps.

The expansion

From one shelter to a network.

Word traveled. Shelter directors reached out. Mentors volunteered. ElevateHer formalized into a program with a curriculum team, a mentor network, and a dedicated launch fund.

Today

Active in 18 partner organizations, and growing.

ElevateHer now serves women across multiple cities, with plans to expand into virtual programming so geography stops being a limit on who gets the work.

I came in thinking finance was for other people. I left knowing it was for me, and that I'd been the only one telling myself otherwise.

05 · Why I do this

The work behind the mission.

Curriculum I built

I designed every page of the 8-week Foundations curriculum, from the first budgeting worksheet to the final goal-setting framework. Built in shelters, refined by participants.

Women I've taught

I've personally led cohorts and 1:1 sessions with hundreds of women, meeting them in shelters, in libraries, on Zoom, wherever they are. The numbers matter; the names matter more.

Partnerships I've built

Twenty-plus partner organizations across multiple cities now host ElevateHer programming. Every relationship started with a conversation and a willingness to show up consistently.

Communities I've reached

From Dallas-Fort Worth to Atlanta, Houston, and beyond, ElevateHer programming now runs in twelve cities and counting. Every new city is a new generation of women rebuilding.

Mission first. Always.

ElevateHer is the work I'd do whether or not anyone was watching. If our missions align, as a partner, a co-collaborator, a fellow builder, let's connect.
